Antinous
He is one of Penelope's leading suitors. Antinous is the most arrogant of Penelope's suitors. He is the first one to die when Odysseus returns.

Eumaeus
One of Odysseus' royal servants and friend. He is also a swineherd. His father was the king of an island called Syria. Eumaeus is the first person that Odysseus meets after fighting in the Trojan war & return to his homeland.

EurycleiaShe is Odysseus old nurse. She is the daughter of Ops and granddaughter of Peiseinor. Eurycleia's name means "broad fame". Eurycleia is the only person to recognize him without Odysseus revealing himself.

EurymachusEurymachus is an Ithacan nobleman and one of the two leading suitors of Penelope. He is arrogant, disrespectful, and has no manners. He shows no guest-friendly hospitality. He is the second of the suitors to die by Odysseus's hand. He is killed when he gets shot in the heart with an arrow by Odysseus.
PenelopeThe wife of Odysseus. She and Odysseus have a son. Penelope waits for Odysseus to come home after 20 years. Penelope is in a very dangerous situation when the suitors begin demanding and asking her hand in marriage when Odysseus was not in Ithaca.

EurynomeShe is a personal assistant of Penelope in The Odyssey. Eurynome is the housekeeper of the royal palace in Ithaca. She is also Penelope's house keeper.
Philoetius
One of Odysseus loyal servants and a cowherd. He stands with Odysseus against the suitors of his wife Penelope. He works together with Eumaeus to acheive some tasks. He is considered one of the subjects that remained loyal to Odysseus. Eumaeus and some other servants were considered as a main character in the story.

Telemachus
Telemachus is Odysseus' son. He is a central character in Homer's Odyssey. He was an infant when Odysseus left for Troy. He is a natural block to the suitors desperately pursuing his mother. Telemachus lacks the confidence yet he has a good heart & courage. As a young man, he was favored by Athena. When Odysseus wasn't home for twenty years, Athena helped him stand up to suitors. When he got back to Ithaca, he was more self-confident. He kills all the suitors with his father at the end of The Odyssey.
